Key is the musical key, major or minor. Camelot is the same key as DJs write it (8A, 8B); Open Key is Traktor's version of the same wheel.

BPM is measured on a 90-second window from the middle of the track. A reading of 87 on a 174 drum and bass tune is the same tempo counted in half time.
How does the key and BPM finder work?
Your browser decodes the file, a 90-second window from the middle of the track is turned into a chroma profile (how much energy each of the twelve pitch classes carries) and matched against the 24 key profiles; the tempo comes from the rhythm of energy onsets. The file never leaves your computer.
How accurate is it?
On clean electronic music the key is right most of the time and the tempo within a tenth of a BPM. Long breakdowns, key changes and heavy detuning can fool any detector, including the ones in Rekordbox and Serato; when the reading is uncertain the result says so.
What is the Camelot code next to the key?
Harmonic mixing notation: 8A is A minor, 8B is C major. Keys with the same number or one step apart mix cleanly. Every code links to its own page with the moves and example tracks.
Does it support Open Key (Traktor)?
Yes. 1d is C major, 1m is A minor; the column shows the Open Key next to the Camelot code.
Can I analyse many files at once?
Yes, drop a folder's worth; they are analysed one after the other, up to 25 per drop. Nothing is uploaded, so the only limit is your machine.
