Quality you can trust
The library scan reads the actual spectrum, so a 320 file that was transcoded from a 128 gets called what it is: upscaled, and worth replacing.
Do I need to connect my SoundCloud account?
No. Crate reads your public likes from your profile URL. Nothing is posted, nothing is changed, no login is asked for.
Do you host or sell the music?
Never. Crate only points at the artist's or label's own page: Bandcamp, Beatport, a store or a free download. You buy there, from them.
What if a track is nowhere for sale?
It says so honestly, and you can mark it as wanted. Wanted tracks are counted, so artists can see there is demand for a release.
Does the folder scan upload my music?
No. The scan runs in your own browser and only sends back what it concluded: owned, low quality, upscaled or missing. Your files never leave your machine.
