Terms of service

1. The service

ryser.id, operated by Ryser (Ryan Poser), Groenlingstraat 12, 1706 BL Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands (KVK 86346512, VAT NL004231102B27), analyzes DJ sets and mixes and returns a best-effort tracklist with timestamps, BPM and key. Recognition is inherently imperfect: unreleased, edited or obscure tracks may not be identified, and identifications may occasionally be wrong. That is the nature of the product, not a defect.

2. Your account

Without an account you can try one set as a guest and see the first part of its tracklist; the full result, your history and everything else need an account. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One person per account; don't share API keys.

3. Minutes, packs and plans

• 1 credit = 1 minute of analyzed audio. Every account has 120 free minutes a month: the free allowance is refilled to 120 on the first of the month and does not stack.
• Credit packs are one-time purchases and never expire.
• Opener (€5/month or €55/year) includes a monthly allowance of 400 minutes, Headliner (€9/month or €99/year) 900 minutes, and Studio (€19/month or €209/year) 1,800 minutes, each with the features listed on the pricing page. The allowance resets monthly and does not carry over.
• Credits are consumed when an analysis runs. If a run fails on our side, the credits are automatically refunded.
• Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.

4. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

As an EU consumer you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal on online purchases. Minutes reach your account the moment your payment clears, so every purchase here is delivered inside that period. Before you pay, we therefore ask you to tick a box confirming two things: that you want us to start immediately, and that you understand you lose the right of withdrawal for what you use. Nothing is charged until you have ticked it. On that basis:

• The rule, in one line: as long as you have not used a single minute of what a purchase gave you, you can withdraw within 14 days and get all of your money back. Use one minute of it, and the withdrawal right for that purchase is gone.
• Subscriptions: while your monthly minutes are untouched, the "Withdraw subscription" button on your account page ends the subscription immediately and refunds the payment in full. The button disappears once you spend from that month’s minutes. You can still cancel at any time after that; a monthly plan then runs to the end of the month you paid for. An annual plan is a fixed term of twelve months: it ends by itself, is never renewed automatically, and we remind you a week before it ends.
• Credit packs: unused packs can be refunded in full within 14 days of purchase. Email billing@ryser.id.
• Founder (lifetime): the same rule applies. Within 14 days of purchase you can request a full refund at billing@ryser.id, provided the granted minutes are unused.
• If a run fails on our side, the minutes are returned to you automatically, so a failure on our end never counts as use and never costs you the right.

5. Acceptable use

• Only submit content you are allowed to have analyzed: your own sets, sets published by their creators on public platforms, or content you otherwise have rights to.
• No attempts to circumvent credits, rate limits or plan gating; no resale of the service or API output as a competing service; no disruptive scraping or automated abuse.
• Community features (comments, suggestions, public sets) must stay free of unlawful, hateful or infringing content. We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these rules.

6. Your content & copyright

You keep all rights to the audio you upload and the setlists you create. You grant us the limited licence needed to operate the service: processing the audio for recognition, storing your results, and (only when you set a set to public) displaying it to others. Playback of platform-hosted sets streams from the original platform via its own embedded player; we do not re-host that audio.

Takedown: if you believe content on ryser.id infringes your rights, email takedown@ryser.id with the URL and a description of the claim. We review promptly and remove infringing content.

7. The API

API access is a Studio feature, subject to the documented rate limits. Keys are personal; we may revoke keys and adjust limits to protect the service. The API is in beta; endpoints are stable but may evolve with notice.

8. Availability & liability

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is": no guaranteed uptime, recognition rate or fitness for a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the account page; this permanently removes your data (see the privacy policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of unused paid credits unless the violation involves fraud or abuse.

10. Referral programme

• How it works. Every account has a personal referral link. Someone who creates an account through your link starts with 60 extra minutes. Once they finish their first set of 20 minutes or longer, 60 minutes are added to your account.
• Vesting. Your reward is pending for 7 days and is only paid out if the referred account is still active and in good standing at the end of that period.
• Caps. At most 10 rewards per calendar month and 1,200 referral minutes over the lifetime of an account.
• No cash value. Referral minutes are credits under section 3: non-transferable, not redeemable for money, and not refundable.
• Abuse. Referring yourself, creating accounts for other people, sharing the link through unsolicited e-mail or messages (which is prohibited under the Dutch Telecommunications Act), or any other scheme to farm minutes voids the reward. We may reverse referral minutes that were granted this way and suspend the accounts involved.
• Changes. We may change or end the programme at any time; rewards already vested are kept.

11. Changes & governing law

We may amend these terms; material changes are announced at least 14 days in advance by email or in the app. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance. These terms are governed by Dutch law; disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
