A Tunebat alternative for DJs
Tunebat is a key and BPM database you search by song name, with an analyzer for your own files. ryser.id answers the same question two ways: a finder that analyses the file in your browser, so nothing is uploaded, and a set analyser that reports key and BPM for every track in a mix. Is ryser.id a free Tunebat alternative?
For analysing your own files, yes: the finder on this page is free, without an account, and the file stays in your browser. For looking up a released song by name, Tunebat's database is the better tool.
Does ryser.id upload my track?
Not on this page. The browser decodes the file and the key and tempo are computed in the tab. The set analyser does download a set from a link you paste, because that is its job.
How accurate is the key detection compared with Tunebat?
Both estimate; neither is a musician. On clean electronic music the reading is usually right, and when ours is uncertain it says so next to the key. Trust your ears on a track with a key change.
