What is a tracklist ID?
The list of every track played in a DJ set, each one identified ("ID" is DJ shorthand for naming a record). A tracklist ID finder takes the recording and returns that list with a timestamp per track; ryser.id does it from a YouTube, SoundCloud or Mixcloud link or a file.
How do I find the track ID of a song in a DJ set?
Paste the set link into ryser.id and jump to the timestamp: the track playing there is named, with links to buy or stream it. If the engines do not know it, it is marked unknown and other DJs can answer.
What does "ID" mean in a DJ set?
An unidentified track. When a tracklist says "ID - ID", nobody has named that record yet; often it is unreleased, an edit, or a white label.
Can it find a track from a short video or clip?
Yes: upload the clip. Anything from a few seconds up works, though longer audio gives the engines more to match on.
Is there a track ID finder for SoundCloud?
Yes, SoundCloud links are supported directly, as are YouTube and Mixcloud, and any audio file up to 500 MB.
