Each segment goes through two fingerprint engines, then tempo-warp, denoise and preview-verify rescue passes for the blended parts.

Shazam hears one snapshot. ryser.id listens to the whole set and asks the engines about every part of it, including the second half of a long blend.
Pitched and tempo-shifted tracks get un-warped first
DJs play records faster or slower than released. The rescue passes correct for that before matching, which is where one-shot apps lose most IDs.
Community IDs for what no database knows
Unreleased edits and white labels stay unknown for every fingerprint engine. Other DJs can fill those gaps on public sets, and those answers are kept.
How do I identify a song online without an app?
Paste the link of the video or mix that contains it into ryser.id. The audio is fetched and analysed, and every song in it is listed with its timestamp. For a single song in a short clip, upload the clip.
Can it identify songs in a YouTube video?
Yes. YouTube, SoundCloud and Mixcloud links work directly; anything else can be uploaded as a file up to 500 MB.
What is the difference with Shazam?
Shazam listens to one snippet through the microphone and returns one song. ryser.id reads the whole recording and returns all of them, with times, BPM and key, including tracks that are pitched or blended into the next one.
Does it work on live DJ sets and radio shows?
That is what it is built for: a mix is cut at its transitions and each part is identified separately, with rescue passes for tempo-shifted and noisy sections.
